"After the Storm"
Title
"After the Storm"
Description
Located to the right of the Information Desk is Gruppe’s After the Storm. Emile Gruppe was one of America’s most prolific artists. Gruppe estimated that he destroyed nearly 2000 canvasses and still managed to paint over 8000 paintings. Part of the reason why he had so many paintings by the same title is that liked to capture the same scene from different angles. This particular view of Gloucester after a storm displays the drama and power of the sea.
